590A1 Barrel ?

I have a Mossberg 590A1 with an 18 1/5 inch barrel. I would like to get a 24 or 26 inch barrel for it. Acording to their website Mossberg only makes barrels longer the 20 inches for the 500 and 835. Does anyone make one or is there anything out there that will work?

P.S. I know I could get a used Mossberg with the barrel I want for about the same price as a new replacement barrel, but I like to keep my "working" gun collection as lean as possible..."beware the man with just one gun" type philosophy

Lawman's currently has about 7 used 500s if your barrel search is fruitless. Same layout of the controls, be nice to have two platforms on hand.

I have both a 590 A1 and my brother and dad have 835s for hunting. The barrels actulaly can be swapped, but I haven't shot it that way.

I asked Mossberg about it, and they said that while you can swap it, they recommend against it.

If you get the 835 though, I don't think you'll find much difference, and while it's another gun, it will feel exactly the same except with a longer barrel, pretty much.
