Just wondering with regards to this shotgun compared to the stock 500, we all know about the differences (metal safety, trigger guard, heavy barrel, mag tube, barrels, finishes) etc. But my question is with regards to whether the 590a1s go through tighter QC and inspection and refinement in a separate part of the factory, similar to how the 870 Police at Remington have a separate inspection area in their plant. If so, does the 590a1 receive stronger springs, better polishing to smooth up the action etc. like a 870 Police?

I would call Mossberg direct concerning this--I am sure they could tell you as it sounds like an 'inside baseball' question.

I would personally think their would be a separate area devoted to the tactical line but would be very interested in knowing as well.

They're sold to the military right out of that line, so I would think they get the best QC possible... just my thoughts though.
