I posted a question a while ago about loads for the Creedmoor with 140 grain Bergers. Got a lot of responses. I got a bunch more brass and want to load up some with 129 grain SST's. I have the following powders and won't be purchasing any. I am at the limit for safe storage. So I need to get rid of some. This is what I have:

Winchester Primers
Hornady Brass
Hornady SST Bullets of 129 Grains

Powder:

AA2700
AA4350
IMR4350
IMR4895
Win 748
Varget

I used AA2700 for the 140 Grain loads. Worked to perfection. I travel too much to do to much experimentation and testing. My initial thoughts go with AA4350.

I know people use H4350 as the "go to", while others have had good luck with RL powders.

Please don't suggest powders that I don't have. And thanks.

I had my wife choose for me. She knows nothing about reloading, showed her the six powders. She choose Win 748. So be it. It does have a cool logo on the container. Will work up some loads tomorrow and then test them in a few weeks. I have a business trip to Watertown NY next week and Napa CA the next. Should be warmer here by then. Heck its 33 degrees out today. Brass already sized. I will prime some brass in a bit so I am ready for tomorrow.

I use RL16 to get a little over 2,900 fps and good accuracy with 127gr LRXs (different construction but similar weight) out of my 22" 6.5 CM. Given that you want to use one of the powders you already have, I'd pick one of the comperable 4350-speed powders in your list. Personally I'd probably start with AA4350, I know a few folks that switched over to AA once H4350 became unobtanium, and they seem to be pretty happy with it. Additionally, while IMR4350 is supposed to be ok with temp swings, I've heard that AA4350 is actually pretty temp stable.

Thanks. I couldn't find H4350 to save my life around here. Hence I picked up both IMR4350 and AA4350. I was looking at some reloading manuals and loads for AA4350 seem to have more velocity. My wife's load choice didn't seem too bad, if not a random choice. It has a burn rate close to Varget. Might be the I try AA4350 first.
