wolf is allready making the ammo new, I would say that alone says the Grendel isn't going anywhere. I would also say the the grendel is superior to the 6.8, close or far.
also, if you go with a 6.8, you have to change everthing in the upper, including the mags. Maybe the lower as well.
if you go grendel, everything stays the same , even the mags, except the bolt, and the bbl.
I'll take the grendel.
6.8SPC and Grendel both run on standard AR lowers -- this is the selling point for both designs.
If you shoot 6.8SPC you also need a new bolt and upper. If you shoot Grendel you need a new bolt and upper. No benefit to Grendel or SPC on this point.
On magazines, Alexander Arms makes and sells steel 26 round magazines for Grendel. Various people (PRI, etc.) make and sell steel 25 round SPC magazines. Seems to be no real advantage with either cartridge there, as well.
