I have been thinking of building/buying a new upper for 1 of my AR's, and would like to use it for hunting deer, coyotes, and maybe bear. I am thinking maybe a 6.8 spc but I am getting confused on the barrel twist chamber ect. would like a med to heavy bullet 115 to 130 gr. Anyone have experience with this cartridge?

Unless you're talking about some really tiny bear, I'd call the 6.8 SPC a little light for that. Should be okay for coyotes and deer though (at reasonable ranges).

I can't blame you. At present count there's, what, 3 different chamber profiles and an ongoing debate about twist rates?
