The thread detailing my complaints is here (photos on 2nd page):
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=705474

Turn around was a week despite the fact they told me 6-8 on the phone and 2-3 in a letter I received yesterday. Of course being a lifetime warranty dash-6 gun it was free (tolls were paid driving to FedEx).

They re-cut the forcing cone and rotated the barrel slightly. It is still obviously misaligned but admittedly less so than when I sent it in. From above it looks to be aligned but its is obvious when staring down the barrel or at the corners of the top rib.

My expectations were so low reading other threads that I'm mildly pleased they did something.

I think it is acceptable for a range gun - which is why I bought it. I will one day find myself a nice pinned barrel 29 seeing how my model 19 is easily my nicest gun - but I'm in no rush.

Hopefully my opinion doesn't change after firing it. Thought my Ruger was fixed the first time only to be woefully disappointed upon visiting the range.

P.S. - Ruger has my GP100 again. They need to re-cut the chambers or replace the cylinder. Ruger was more friendly and personable than S&W for what it counts. Both are putting out some terrible guns right now.
