G19, my sincerest condolences to you about your loss. I very much understand.
Perhaps on another day, I'll write a few words about my former four-legged companion of 16 years, deceased for a decade. There will never be another like her.

bhp9mm &
bglz42, welcome to the house. Help yourself to turkey, duck, BBQ or tofu surprise as you wish. There's pecan pie on the table against the far wall. Just say the secret word to the sergeant at arms with the m&p340 ... er, I mean x42
and he'll hook you up.
Oh, and let us know if you have a preference for keystroke-saving nicknames (B9 and B4? Naw, maybe not, but kinda catchy ...)
___________
JT, I'm impressed that you can name those snubs in B9's photo. I was hoping someone would. I have homework: research mods 15 and 85 (new to me).
__________
All: As I may have mentioned last year in the "old" club house
<"should auld acquaintance be forgot...">, even though I don't celebrate this day in the same way that many (most?) of you do, I'm no grinch, either. I honor the season and reflect deeply on this day in my own ways.
My relationship to the season has developed differently than for some of you for several reasons, including several family deaths
during the holidays when I was younger (which is part of the reason I can so relate to G19's current state of mind).
However, I support everyone's right to celebrate it (or not) in any way they wish.
(That guarantee is one of the best parts of the first amendment of the US constitution.)
What ever the season means to you, I hope you're all having
the best, most wonderful, happy, merry day and season possible.
OK, now 'scuse me, please. I gotta go have another plate of pork BBQ with more of those black eyed peas (cooked with ham hock, garlic, onion, brown sugar, black pepper and salt). Ummm um.
