Has anyone used the 'GS customs " swaging pin on there dillon 650? I know dillon won't warenty that press in they know its on there.

I bought one, used it for 50 rounds of 223, then sold it for a $35 loss.

With that said..

I could not get the function down. I set it up per the instructions, I watched videos, I looked at 'how to's' and simply could not get it to run appropriately. It was set perfectly, when the Swage rod entered the primer pocket perfectly, but I couldn't get it to swage properly. It was taking A LOT of force to try to get a swage and I deemed no longer worth it. I did not find it any faster than my Dillon Super Swage 600, either. Put all these things together, and I ended up selling that tool and sticking with the SS600. I never have a doubt about the swage from that tool. The fact it arrives with a warranty to work appropriately, and that it doesn't void the warranty on my press, I'll stick with the SS600.

These are my experiences and I know others have success stories. I did not though.

Never heard of a "GS Customs" swaging pin for a 650, but I wouldn't want to swage on my 650. Never bothered to compute them, but it's obvious that the off-axis forces would be considerable. The integral swaging station is probably one of the major reasons that a 1050 is built so much heavier and stiffer than a 650.

The 650 swager as you note voids the lifetime no bs warrenty. It has no back up rod, so all of the force is put into the shell plate pivot bolt. The reviews are mixed from what I have read.
