75 grain Sierra with 25 grains of IMR 3031 is what i used to shoot in a 40XB years ago, IMR 4198 was a good powder also.

I used 60grain bullets and reloader 7 that i had scrounged up back then, cant remeber the load but i bet i could dig it up. 40XBBR 20inch bbl used it in the light varmit class.

I've used H-322, Re7, IMR 4198, IMR 3031, A1680. And others. The cartridge was not finicky but it is small and pressures peak rather quickly.
Mine is a Super 14 Custom Built Contender barrel and well over 30 years old, great combination.

0.1" short. That would be a really short neck.

I just necked the 223 up to 6MM and fire formed, the shoulder moves a very minor amount. It worked until I rounded up a supply of 222 R.M. cases.
