Ive noticed a huge diffrence in accuracy between my umc rounds and wolf etc....i also ran into some problems with wolf military classic through my yugo sks (could have been a bad batch who knows) anyhow the question is, what goes best through a wasr 10 and yugo sks and is most accurate and cheap (is brown bear any better than wolf...wolf military..tiger etc) also does hollow point, soft point, fmj make a diffrence???

A lot of it depends on what your gun likes best. As you noticed, better ammo tends to be more accurate though. The best I had ever found was the "nipple effect" ammo. I think it was Brown Bear brand. The second most accurate load, other than pricey American brass ammo, was Wolf's 154 grain softpoint. I usually don't have much luck with softpoints. The tips are either bent in all directions out of the box, or get that way as the gun feeds them. Barnaul was accurate ammo also, but it doesn't seem to be imported anymore. You might try buying a few boxes of each and comparing them. If your gun has a preference, you'll soon find it. Let us know what you find! :)

the range report may take a while due to the fact that my range has about 2 feet of snow on it right now...so im stocking up and refinishing my stocks etc

I have a case of Norinco FMJ, that seems to agree with both SKs's and f-AK-e's

Comming to the end of 3 cases of Cheetah, made in Zimbawe and I don't thing imported anymore. Pretty good stuff. Liked Barnaul but it to seems impossible to obtain anymore. With Wolf, the HP's seem to work best for me. Find a lot of empty Winchester cases on the range (must be somebody with some bucks to run them thru an AK) and handload for a Ruger 77 in that caliber. The handloads give better accuracy.

The Silver Bear "match" is very inaccurate in my Vepr, but the hollow point from Wolf and Silver Bear seems to work well.

Accuracy with an SKS is relative. It was designed for man-sized targets out to 200 yards. That said, Wolf is notorious for being inaccurate in comparison to any of the domestic commercial ammo. However, I have heard good things about Brown and Silver Bear and the Golden Tiger on sale at AIM for $150 per case of 1K.

Me? Oh, I'm cheap. I shoot Wolf HPs for the most part...

I've had great luck with Wolf Military Classic hollowpoints. Maybe I got a good lot. It's not only accurate, but exceptionally clean.

Haven't tried the Bears or Tigers yet... but will get some eventually.

Krochus has a CZ carbine that will shoot sub MOA with wolf 154gr softpoints and 4 inch groups with winchester or remington. So saying wolf is always less accurate than the american stuff isn't true.
