I am looking for some ammo for 7.62 1895 nagant. I see that Reed's Ammunition & Research sell some they load themselves. $19.95 for a box of 50.

Anybody buy some from them, if so, how do you like them?
Are they a pretty good company to deal with?

well, while i'm sure reed is a good guy, i'm not so sure that asking him about his business and product is the best way to get an unbiased opinion ;)

7.65 Nagent by Reed

So how long are Reed's cases? Long enough to seal the cylinder gap?

What sort of load? the Russian target stuff is OK for paper punching, but one would like to have a laod to hand with enough moxy to take on a rabbit.

I was looking if someone had bought the Nagant and how did work? And if the company was good to deal with . Asking Mr. Reed if the company is good to deal with, would be like asking the owner of Centary arms if all there gun buyers are happy. :neener:

"50 rounds per box 750FPS 98g Double Ended Wad-Cutter Boxer primed re-loadable brass" is all the the web sites says on the ammo.

Maybe you can email Reeds and they can give you the details. They were quick to email me back about shipping costs.

I probally order a couple of boxes this week.

What do you want to know? The cases are not quite long enough to seal, and they are not loaded for hunting, just target shooting. I've thought of using the 86g or 93g SP and seeing what we can do with it, but I'm pretty stacked on projects right now. We also have a shot load we've developed. Err..are developing. I still have not gotten it to pattern like I want so it's not on the market yet.

As far as if the company is good or not, I agree. I have a VERY biased opinion. So, I'll let the other members here voice their opinions. We have a very low rate of return on products and we do everything we can to make sure you (customer) are happy. If we loose money on the deal, hey that's just part of life. I prefer to ensure the customer is pleased with how s/he has been treated.

Sounds pretty good to me. Should be getting my order this week.

Thanks for the info.

We are having a few problem with the website, so if you are not able to get the order processed just e-mail me and I'll get it taken care of. While I'm pretty handy with computers, I'm not a software guru so I have to use and outside source, and we all know how that goes......

I'll give a thumbs up!

One vote of confience for Reeds from me, too.

As an aside, I think one of the cooler ideas in the works is the 22 Reed Express for the CZ-52!
