I have just obtained a 7.62x54 and will be reloading my own ammo, when I search the web for .310 bullets I can only find bullets for the sks and ak47 in the 123 grain, any one know where the larger grain .310 can be ordered from. thanks

Midway product #165-542 Hornady 174 gr FMJ BT Dia. .3105 $16.79/100.

I believe that I have read of the .311 diameter .303British/7.7mm Japanese being used sucessfully.

Also, apparently .308 bullets can work well too, best to mike your gun's barrel to see.

I just ordered a Romak III, so I am also looking into reloading 7.62x54R soon.

Midway has a good stock. .311 or .312 will work find and I've used them in thousands of handloads. Lapua's special .308 bullets also work well. The only exception is with the 28/30 which has a true .308" bore. Even then there's no real danger unless it hasn't been rechambered to "D" chamber to take the higher ogive. Make sure any Finn you shoot has the "D" chamber. All M-39's have them, and the others will have a stamp.
