Shooting inherited browning 7mm rem mag and having point of impact issues. At 100 yds I was able to put 4 shots in 3in. with Winchester power point 175 gr bullets. Working up a load for this using nosler ABLR in 168gr using federal 215 primers and H1000. Had three test loads at 67 68 and 69 gr charges. I couldn't get my hand loads to hit paper at the same 100 yds I was hitting with the 175gr. My thoughts are a lighter bullet should impact higher yet I know I was hitting low due to the splattering of dirt and rocks on my target rather than a bullet hole. I don't have a chrono to know if they are going slower than factory rounds. Anyone have thoughts on why I'm not hitting paper? I was shooting off a lead sled on the ground in prone position. My plan is to put targets on a bigger backdrop to see just how low and if I'm getting any grouping at all.
