70g ff & 70g #5 enough to kill a turkey w/a BP 12ga

To clarify we're using 70 volume grains of black powder and using the same measure for shot. We were doing 80 and 80 but we were getting holes in the pattern and backing it off to 70 seemed to really give it a solid pattern. We shot some really hard plastic target bottles and they penetrated one side and dented the other. On the tuna can test should it go through both sides or just enter into the tuna can?

It shouldn't matter how hard the OS card is put in, maybe the OP wad would make a difference. The OS card should be thin or it might interfere with the shot and you'll get a donut pattern. I've had good luck with the .028 cards from circlefly.

Eat the tuna and penetrate the bottom.
