I can't comment on the Knoxx stock in particular, but my IAC 982 is wearing an aftermarket Speedfeed forend that swapped right over from my Rem 870. It's also wearing, as you can see, a SideSaddle for an 870. I've also swapped many of the smaller parts over, as well. As far as I've been able to tell so far, with the exception of the barrel, all the 870 pieces interchange.

P.S. I love the crap out of mine. What a steal.

Here is my Norinco 982T with a 7+1 mag tube ext and a modified to fit Laserlyte tri-rail mount. The ghost ring sights are excellent. These are very nice shotguns and like ScottS said, they are a steal for $190. A good set of ghost ring sights will cost you that much.

Here is a NEF Pardner Pump Protector with a 7+1 mag tube ext. They are also made by Norinco and very well made.

Very cool pics everyone. The thing is i was looking at buying a used 870, getting some ghost rings, getting a 18.5 or 20" barrel and putting on a Knoxx stock when i found this 982. I think the 982 is a better deal though, it'll certainly be cheaper.

The Norinco 982 is a better and improved version of the 870 Express.

Norinco 982

Smoother action right of the box than the Express

Excellent ghost ring sights - None offered on the Express

Machined extractor and ejector - MIM parts on the Express

Metal trigger guard - Plastic on the Express

Parkerized finish - rough blue on the Express

Better designed shell lifter on the Norinco than the one on the 870 shotguns

With a tube ext on 18.5" barrel 7+1 capacity - With tube ext on the Express with a 18" barrel 6+1

Room to put a mount for a flashlight above the fore end on the shotgun mag tube - not so on the Express, it has to be mounted on the tube ext and remove each time you break the shotgun down, which is a pain.

All of this for $180. What a steal.

It is the same gun as the Norinco 982. They just machined the receiver different and gave it a Franchi shotgun style humpback. The humpback makes it heavier because of more steel in the receiver. All of the 870 accessories will fit it just like the 982. I hear the 870 Mesa Tactical high tube stock adapter with rail will fit but it is a tight fit.

BTW, I forgot to mention my 982 above is wearing one of MAX100's magazine extensions. Superior quality work at a great price.

The Tube Ext plus spring is $65 shipped.

The Pardner Pump barrels will work on the Norinco 982 shotguns. NEF sales the 22" rifled slug barrels with adj sights for about $100.

ScottS your shotgun looks good with the tube ext.
