Just wondering if anybody knows a good source for 870 stuff, particularly an older style stock and forend set. Kind of like Havlin for Mossberg parts...

I have been looking for the older style corn cob style forend for my 870 and found one on ebay and waited 5 days to put in my bid and the auction ended early so I'm not trying to fool with ebay auctions anymore, I don't have the patience.

Id never heard of Havlin and when I was looking for old mossberg parts somebody suggested Havlin and was much appreciated because he had alot of the older, used stuff you can't find anymore. Just wondering if there is a smaller mom and pop type seller like that for 870 stuff...

I have found just about everything I've ever needed except a receiver on ebay. Stocks, triggers, bolt, extractor. Barrels galore but pricey. Small parts are getting scarce. Brownell is my choice for firing pins and springs.
I use/manage eight of these shotguns for my boys, grandkids, high school shooters, and myself. All told we shoot well over thirty thousand rounds a year. My personal TB I bought new in '75 and the only original parts are the stock, bolt and barrel. Near 300K rounds plus a lot of ducks and deer in the early years.

When I use Ebay, I put in the max amount I’m willing to spend, and let them do the bidding. If it goes for more, someone wanted it more than I did.
