Anyone know of any military surplus 8mm mauser available other than the Yugo 'Sniper Grade' stuff?

It seems thats the only stuff anyone has in stock, not that theres a problem with it that I know of - I have some on order right now.

But is there anything else out there?

egyptian

I just bought some surplus yesterday from Williams gunsight. The guy at the counter says its from Egypt. $5/15

that yugo stuff is junk keep looking for some other surplus stuff...... i bought 150 rounds of this yugo sniper ammmo from AIM and for 52.00$ it was worth every penny.

I guess I need to get to the gun shows more often. I see the yugo sniper stuff going for $5.95/15 rounds.

I'm new to shooting 8mm, so I'm assuming that 8mm mil-surplus is getting dried up?

crap. I guess it's been a while. Last I bought 700rnds for $65.

Last time I bought 8mm was about 5 years ago, 1,100 rounds of Ecuadorian for $80 something after shipping. Not the best stuff in the world but 9 out of 10 rounds go bang on the first click, some need a second tap. Seeing the prices now it's just... Well disheartening

If I recall correctly, I thought a lot of Full-auto guys were converting some big guns to 8mm cause it was so cheap.

Why convert it to 8mm? Just buy an Mg42 lol

Ammo man has the sniper stuff at $79- 150 Rounds

Sportsmansguide has that same ammo at $59.97- 150 Rounds
300 Rounds for $116.97

Aim sells it in 15 round boxes, so 10 of them would be $59.50
900rd can: $315.00ea

Yes its been a long time since i bought 8mm ammo.i cant belive the prices on this stuff,Im so glad i bought my 4 cases of ammo when i did,What i did buy was good stuff,198 gr,
I use it in my fn-49 never had a hang fire or one that didnt go bang,
It was dust ,i just added them to my tumbler they cleaned up like brand new stuff,

Last time I bought I got a 1200 rd case for $120. Haven't seen much out there since.

Holy cow, looks like it's time to turn a profit on some of the 5 cents a round shipped 8mm...

Harley, nothing wrong with corrosive ammo provided you clean a little.

I purchased a couple thousand 154gr FN ammunition for my M48A a few years ago (manufactured in '50 & '51) that I bought dirt cheap. Though nothing to look at and corrosive I'm sure, it's reliable and accurate. I suppose I should start stocking up on 8mm again.

I found a good deal right here at THR and just bought 490 rounds of Turkish 8mm for $131 shipped. It's supposed to arrive Thursday via UPS. Still have about 800 rounds of some Ecuadorian that goes bang 9 out 10 times. Have about 500 rounds of old Yugo made stuff. Who knew 4-5 years ago that it was going to disappear?

I got 100 rounds of Prvi Partisan so that I can reload when the time comes.

Yeah, our boys are the best, let them know you are from THR, and you may get a deal, especially if anyone else chimes in with an email. He has tons of it, from diff countries in milsurp, also has new mfgrd. Not everything he has is listed on his site, so don't be afraid to email him, and ask what else he has, for what
price. http://ammunitiontogo.com/

Who knew 4-5 years ago that it was going to disappear?

Those that understand the cyclical and finite nature of what is for the most part obsolete surplus ammo.

About 2 months ago one of coworkers offer me a Nazi marked 98K and 2 cases of factory Remington 170 grain PSPs, the whole batch for $275.00

I nearly broke my fingers getting my wallet out...
