What's the best method / tools for reaching hollowed inside of a disassembled 8mm mauser bolt handle body and cleaning out the gunked cosmo and what not? There does not seem be a tool or combo of wipes that gets everything, especially down deep on the interior/opposite side of the bolt face. Soaked in mineral spirits and then tried to wipe inside with jagged patches, mops and even needle nose pliers with cotton ball still nothing gets it to the point of being inspection worthy. Any secrets you'd like to pass on ?

You can use a steel coat hanger cut with a small hook and push some cleaning patches in and twist to remove the cosmoline and hook the patches out.
Usually kerosene will cut it and use an air hose to blow it clean. It doesn't need to be spit clean and a very thin film of cosmoline will not hurt anything and does protect from rust.
I've done a pile of 'em.

a cheap 45 cal bore bruch from walmart on a pistol rod works great. you can then switch to a 22 cal brush for the very end of the bolt
