8mm mauser stripper clips

I have two 8mm mauser rifles and some old surplus on stripper clips. I am looking at pulling the ammunition off of the stripper clips and replacing it with new ammo.

My question has to do with stripper clips. I know that the surplus is drying up and stripper clips are now going for a dollar apiece :banghead:. Does anyone have any stripper clips that I or others might be able to purchase at a good price?

I bought some 8mm the other day that came on stripper clips. Ecuadorian surplus, fifteen shots a box. I would guess that not all that ammo on stripper clips is gone - if you are going to be paying extra just for the clips, see if you can buy a few boxes that come with them.

If you do have to buy them, I don't think a buck a piece is a terrible price. People gladly pay 10-15 dollars for a new AR mag that carries 30 rounds. That much in clips will haul at least 50 rounds - as much shooting as I'd personally care to do with a hard-kicking Mauser.

First time I've seen surplus 8mm ammo in a while. I purchased from them a couple of times in the past with no problems.
