95 gr SMK in 243 OAL

I bought the latest Sierra loading manual and they forgot this bullet, so I wrote them an email asking for OAL. Today I received a reply of 2.660. Does that sound right to you guys? Seems short to me.

Why wouldn't you just seat the bullet out as far as you can? lower peak pressure, less jump, its win-win.

I was loading it out to 2.800 but the groups were terrible and barely fit in the mag. I figured I would get a starting length and adjust from there.

You're probably going to get your best groups with the bullet .010" or less off the lands, but they may not fit in the magazine.

That dimension should be close, as Hodgdon is showing 2.650" for the Speer 100gr BTSP.
COAL is not etched in stone and allows you to adjust to suit your magazine or personal preference off the lands as owen mentioned.

Oh, I know its not set in stone. I find it funny that the 107's are like 2.825(I believe) and the 95 are that much shorter. The 95 is a long bullet.
