Looking for some data on 9MM 124gr FMJ Zero bullets with Power Pistol. Have checked Alliant, Zero, Lee and Lyman sources with no exact recipe. Various threads on the matter and what I've gathered is a 5.5gr charge at 1.135 COAL would be a safe starting load. Any red flags there or favorite recipes given the component set? Purpose is paper punching at the ranch. XD tactical w/ 5'' barrel.

124 gr 9mm w Power Pistol

I go with:
,
124 gr. plated RN (X-Treme, RMR, Berrys, various brands)
5.3 gr. Power Pistol
1.15 OAL
WSP primer

Average 1065 FPS (132 power factor if your counting) through full size M&P. Have shot thousands of them. They work for me.

Best of luck.

I have ran a fair bit of experiments with PowerPistol and the 9mm, from mild to wild. The load that the OP describes will be on the lowerish end. Nearing middleground. A fine starting point in my opinion. I may recommend working it up a bit once you prove that the starting load is safe. I have found that accuracy increases with charge level with this powder and jacketed bullets.

One Book/One Caliber for 9mm page five
124gr FMJ Power Pistol
4.3gr start
5.7gr max
oal 1.150

Quick update for the record:

5.3gr power pistol with the 124gr zero fmj rn (actually closer to 125gr upon weighing) cycled fine through XD9 5" tactical, but was pretty light.

5.6gr power pistol of the same cycled fine, definitely louder and more appropriate ejection trajectory, no signs of over pressure...i'll probably stick with this as a plinking load for the given component set.

1.145 OAL on both

I have shot thousands of 124 grain bullets using 5.0 grains of Power Pistol. Great load, and very accurate. Not near max load, and cycles just fine in all of my 9's.
