9mm carbine suggesrions

im looking for a nice 9mm carbine to add to my colecetion for HD. My points are:

1-sight rail
2-irons that work with sight rail
3-synthetic with pistl grip (possible skelliton stockor AR Adapter)
3-mag fed is a must
4-flash hider
5-16 inch bbl
6-durablility

A Kel Tec Sub 2000 fits your want list pretty well. It doesn't have a sight rail above the barrel but does have one that fits low and forward in the stock. It's for use with lights and such. KT does make a scope mount that still allows the iron sights to be used. It's not the greatest but it does work. I have some parts coming from eBay that may solve this problem better. Mine is fed by Glock 17 mags, up too and including the 31 rounder. They make the carbine to take other common high cap mags too. It doesn't have a flash hider but the one from High Point can be made to work OK and it doesn't look bad. It does have a 16" barrel. It folds back over the stock, at a point just in front of the bolt. Makes it easy to pack the carbine. You can shoot +P ammo in it. Mine has just under 2000 rounds thru it with no problems so far. One downside is the trigger is a little heavy. Still with the red dot I have on the gun now, 1" 5 shot groups at 25 yds aren't uncommon. The biggest plus..I paid about 1/3 what a Beretta Storm costs. It's not real pretty. It's nothing fancy. It's not perfect. It just works.

A Hi Point carbine 995!

It meets all your requirements, I have a 9mm and 40S&W and they are 100% reliable. I use the 40 for HD with a light on the front! Base gun cost $150 and with accessories only 50 to 100 more so alot more money for ammo and training.

Another vote for the Hi-Point...Take a good look at 'em before you spend more $$$ on something else. I bought one when they first came out, and have now sent about 5000 rounds through it, with absolutely zero problems. And I've mostly used cheapo ammo (Wolf and Blazer)...Never disassembled it for cleaning, just the usual bore and action routine...Handles everything I've ever fed it, including +P+ hollowpoints....OK, its kinda funny looking, but in a cool sorta way...

Another vote for boththe Kel-Tec and the Hi Point. Hi Point has better ergonomics, lower price. Kel-Tec is slightly more accurate, folds in half, takes hi-cap mags ( S&W, Glock, etc., take your choice).

Can't go wrong with either.

Kel-Tec, HP carbines and the mechtech are all very good..I would suggest them all

Colt and Bushmaster make 9mms. If you have the dough, I'd buy either one of these or even a Beretta Cx4. Additionally, Ruger has a carbine.

I would recommend the Ruger PC-9, despite the fact that it does not have a pistol grip stock or flash hider. I don't believe that a flash hider is a real necesity with a 9mm, but I have never fired one in the dark, so I can't say. The PC-9 has a synthetic stock, but it is a more "traditional" design, as opposed to an AR protruding pistol grip. I have never had a gun caused jam.

Stay away from the HI POINT 995 carbine. They may jam, A LOT!

I've shot thousands of rounds through my PC9, and in normal circumstances it never jams. The exception is if I shoot a lot of WWB ammo between cleanings. That cheap, smokey ammo fouls the magazine feed lips and the follower and the gun will stovepipe if the magazine gets dirty enough to slow down the follower on the final few rounds.

Also, my brother can't shoot that gun. I swear he somehow limp wrists it when he's shooting. When the mags are clean I've never had a failure of any sort, but he consistantly gets stovepipes.

I forgot to mention the ease in mounting a red dot or scope. I also added a weigand ruger to weaver rail to mine
