9mm Commander slide and .45 slide

There is a 9mm Colt 9mm slide, barrel, etc. on EBay (auction 7117552024).
Will this functionally mate with a stock LW Commander frame? If so, where does some one find a magazine? Thanks, Bill

You will need to install a 9mm/38 Super ejector on the frame. Sometimes the frame feed ramp in 45 ACP 1911's is cut so that it is incompatible with other calibers, some are not, so reliability could be a problem.

What stans said...I've seen some of those swaps work like they were born together, and I've seen some that wouldn't chamber a single round. Also the
possibility that the frame and slide won't physically match up and require refitting. If both parts are from the same manufacturer, the chances go up sharply that they will fit...but no guarantees.

The ejector change is a must. 38 Super/9mm's are very different. You also may have a feed ramp problem, but it might work. I would pass on it.
