9mm Federal NT crimped

I was running a batch of mixed headstamp brass today and had a primer that wouldn't seat. There was some military brass in this mix, so I figured I just missed one, but I pulled it out and it was FC NT and no circle with cross symbol. Sure enough, the primer pocket was crimped.

I understand the reason for it, but hadn't encountered it before. Something more to watch for.

I've heard that Federal .45ACP NT has the crimped (small) primer. Still haven't actually loaded any so wouldn't know for sure.
