'm poor. So WWB 147gr JHP.

ive tested this ammo and according to my excel spreadsheet it expands 85% of the time through Water Jugs, Water jugs filled with newspaper, Ballistic gel and wet phone books.

in my tests it has a higher percentage against those media's then several other "High End" ammo

as long as it functions well in your gun, keep using it :)

I have some Extreme shock right now. I just got my firsthand gun about a month ago and its the only thing i have tried, but it does a number on water jugs.

Oh sweet Yeshua no!

Do yourself a favor and get ANYTHING else in JHP, Extreme Shok tends to act like an FMJ in many mediums, and definitely doesn't do anything better than all the superb premium or regular line JHP bullets (non-premium JHPs from the major manufacturers tend to be the premium JHPs that they were using before they designed the new bullet, so you are still getting a well-designed bullet) available today.

And they cost WAYYYY more.

My p-85 is loaded with Triton Quik Shok 135gr+p and HP carbine has CorBon 115 jhp+p in it.

I'd stay away from Extreme Shock, that stuff tends to explode on impact rather than penetrate to vital organs. Not to mention you can get way more jhp ammo from other more effective brands for the same price. And how can you take this company seriously when they advertise like this:

HYDRO SHOK, HST and POWERBALL

I carry either FEDERAL HYDRO SHOK +P+ or HST +P 124grain hollow points in most of my 9m.m. pistols.

I use the COR BON POWERBALL 100 grain +P only in my SIG 225. The small SIG is completely unreliable if you use any other type of hollowpoint, except the old GECO BAT ammo, which is nearly impossible to get.

If I was limited to non +P ammo, I would go with either the old FEDERAL 115 grain jhp load or the standard velocity HYDRO SHOK 124 grain.

I use Federal Hi-Shok 115 gr. JHP (9BP).....when I can get it anyway.

I avoid +P ammo, for the most part.

Right now...as for many years, I load my carry guns with a mixture of old Gold Dot +P and Canadian FMJ ball. The mix starts with maybe two Canadian ball (more if hi-cap) loaded one FMJ then a HP, another FMJ, and the HP to the capacity of the mag. So we can have the penetration of the FMJ should the gunfight progress beyond a few rounds fired. This process was arrived at with experience gained in several gunfights......

147 XTP's from Hornady. Penetration is King, Expansion is Queen. Spare magazine is loaded with 124 +P Remington Golden Sabers.

Both loads develop great penetration, and the 124 +P also very good expansion.
