What is your favorite plinking/practice load for 9mm using 125 gr. cast round nose bullets and;
1. Bullseye
2. W-231
3. Tite Troup

I'll be shooting these for practice using an XDm-9 and maybe a few with a Glock 19.

Thanks in advance for the information.

I'm running 115 grain Rainiers with 4.3 grains of Universal. I use the same load with the Berry 124 grain bullets.

Love both Titegroup and W231.

W231 4.3 gr with 124 cast LRN (OAL 1.13). Cycles my XD without issues

Can't remember my TG load off hand

For plinking I load...

115 gr. Berry's fmc
4.3 gr. Bullseye
CCI/Win spp

I found this load to most accurate in my p89.

Good luck and happy testing!

Sorry, I don't use any of those powders, but I do like my homemade 125gr cast bullets, so i will give you what I have.
This is below specs, is a very light load, but functions perfectly in my P01 with outstanding accuracy.
124gr cast wheel weight Lee Tumble lube round nose bullet, lubed with Lee Liquid Alox.
6.4 gr Accurate Arms #7
1.095 COAL
Lee FCD used.
Replicate at your own risk, etc. etc., but this one actually works very well for me, even though it's under some listed starting loads.

I've settled on 4.7 of Bullseye behind Barrys 115. Somehow it just 'feels' better than when I use 231.

4.0grs W231 124LRN w/1.10 col shooting CZ P07. That is using mag primers.

I no longer use any of the powders listed, in favor of 4gr Unique behind any ol' 124gr/125gr lead cast...

Of the powders listed, I preferred 4gr-4.5gr of Bullseye.

Red Dot or Green Dot for light plinking loads.

I plink with heavy loads. Lately I'm lovin' Bullseye for that. I can load them hot without using much powder, [I started to give load data here, then thought better of it] and it's bulky enough that it doesn't disappear in the cases.

I haven't found any uses for Titegroup that I like with cast bullets. It might be OK with jacketed I dunno.

4.0 of bulleseye felt kinda heavy in the xd i was borrowing, still using the 124g TL lee design, what load do you think is appropriate since im unfamiliar with how much recoil to expect from a 9mm:eek:
