9mm +P+ Ammo...What Guns Can Take?

Actually, +P in the 9 mm Parabellum caliber does mean up to 10% higher pressure, which is capped at 38,500 psi. You can be assured, that no SAAMI-spec +P 9 mm load will exceed that number, assuming that there are no defects in the manufacturing.

However, +P+ has no such limitations. While most +P+ loads are below 42,000 psi, there is no guarantee of what you're getting.

Yes but

Not all pistols are designed to withstand large amounts of high pressure loads.
Show me a pistol that is designed to operate at Saami standard 9x19 pressures, but can't take the +P pressures. If it can't take 9x19 +P, it was marginal at best with standard pressures.

35k psi
38.5k psi

BARREL LENGTH: 2.9 INCHES

If you want to relate how your Rohrbaugh fared with +P ammo I'm sure many people would be interested. FWIW, the red highlight is original to the manual, not added by me.

Ok

Truthfully the Rohrbaugh is probably marginal with regular 9x19. How many rounds of regular 9x19 do you think it would live through? Not bashing on it, it is meant to be carried much and shot little.

Always read the manufacturer's manual regarding loads to be used.

My S&W 3913 is listed as ok with 9mm +P.

I really doubt any +P+ will ever be listed.
