I'm not much of a revolver guy, but I'd like to have at least one. I don't, however, want to add another caliber to my collection. So, what are my choices in revolvers chambered in 9MM that are currently available? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know a whole lot about it, but I do know that Taurus chambers a snub nose in 9mm. It's a nice looking revolver.
Also, some Ruger .357 mags are available with a 9mm cylinder. With you not wanting to add a new caliber, you may not be interested in that though.

if it were me, i'd try to find a used ruger SP101 in 9mm. they are no longer in production, but a used one might be found.

just checked...couldn't find one on gunbroker or auctionarms. still, i would bide my time and wait for one to turn up.

If you want a single action revolver, Ruger makes a convertible Blackhawk in .357/9mm. If not, you could try to locate a used Speed/Service Six or SP101. Smith and Wesson also made the model 940 and 547 in 9mm, but these are hard to find and expensive when you do.

Just a note. Some years ago there were some Israeli modified revolvers that were in 9mm caliber. I have not idea as to their safety. The 9mm Luger has a higher pressure than .38 spl and I am always worried about conversions. Revolvers by Taurus, Ruger, or S&W are more likely to be safe.

The only one I know of in current production is the Taurus. Charter Arms has delayed the introduction of their new 9 mm and I am not certain when it is now due.

are you looking for a snubbie? if so the Taurus is the only one in production. If you are just looking for a revolver there is also the convertibles by Ruger that the others have mentioned.

P.S. i love my 905.

the only one i know of is the Taurus 905 i like 9mm revolvers i have a ruger speed six sp101 and smith and wesson 940

The S&W 547 is the Holy Grail of 9mm revolvers -- no moon clips needed.

Taurus currently makes one, but I've had a bad experience with their revolvers.

Ruger and others made them at one time, but do not any more.

With current market prices on quality 9mm revolvers, you may very well come out cheaper to buy a used .357 revolver and have it rechambered to 9mm. The 9mm operates at a higher pressure than .38 special, but any gun originally intended for .357 is more than strong enough for a conversion.

S&W 940, or 547 in 3" or 4" are some of the finest 9mm revolvers made. You cold always take a 38, send it to C&S and have them work their magic to make it a 9mm using moonclips
