Just picked up my shield this week! I shot about 75 rounds through it the 1st time today without incident. It shot surprisingly well and functioned 100%!
Of course I was shooting reloads as I have been reloading 9mm for a few years now. I have 2 other 9mm's and I was shooting a FMJ load that has proven itself time after time.
Anyhow, a little while ago I was digging the brass out of my shooting box and saw some cases were noticeably bulged at the back. Some cases looked perfect and some were bugles just like some 40 cal brass I've picked up at the range that I assume was shot out of a glock.
This has me worried that it is the same barrel design as Glocks and will ruin brass?
I'm asking for some advice from the more experienced reloads here. If I have a gun with a unsupported chamber is it even safe to shoot reloads? Also, are these bulged cases even safe to use again?-
