I have a few Missouri 9mm Small Ball bullets that I want to handload.

My manual give a coal of 1.125", this just barely puts the bullet in past the "lube grove".

Does this sound right?

Thanks

Most of us have found they need to be seated a bit deeper to pass the "plunk" test. Mine work at 1.088-1.09" OAL.

Load a couple and try them in your barrel.

I have been loading to 1.16 to fit in a P-38 magazine. Some loads show a COL of 1.05, which seats the bullet to the tangent. A lot depends on the gun.

Thanks guys, I took my two px4's apart and checked by dropping the cartridge in the chamber.
Sure glad I did. The sub-compact has a much bigger chamber/freebore than the Inox.
I am loading them at 1.1065" so that they will fit either gun.
These are my first pistols, I have always had revolvers before and this was never a problem.
A good lesson learned.

You may also want to slug your bore... my Beretta and SIG both have .357" bores. I have MBC size my smallball to .358" and they don't lead at all.

I've been loading those to 1.125 on my HK P30 with great results.

I had to load 'em 1.05, back when I had a DP-51. Out a Glock, you can load 'em with the lube groove exposed!

MBC small ball is a deceiving round. I made up a bunch at what I thought would be the correct OAL, and it ended jamming half my guns. I believe that the second poster had i about right:

Mine work at 1.088-1.09" OAL.
