I'm still a beginner and this is only the second bullet size I've loaded in .44 spl.. Loaded and fired 200 rounds of 200g LRNFP earlier with no problems.
When I seated the first few rounds of 165 tcfp (over 5.2g Bullseye), the Lee Manual recommended coal was 1.365 and the rounds were seated to that depth. However they didn't look right to me.
The bullets are Missouri 165g TCFP and they have a crimp groove but, when seated to 1.365, the crimp grove is slightly below the case mouth. My question is; should I seat the bullet to the manual recommended depth or to the crimp grove?
There doesn't appear to be much difference but I would like to know if the increase in case volume could be a problem if I seated to the crimp grove rather than the recommended depth.
