Hello all, I'm new into the nfa world, matter of fact I'm not even really in it yet. But I'm interested in suppressing my glock 32, is there a particular suppressor for me to use or is a 9mm one ok?

Like I said I'm new to this, and have other Guns that I can use buy the glock is just what I'm interested in

A 9mm suppressor would work, but suppressing a .357SIG is an exercise in futility. The bullet is just moving way too fast and the loud sonic crack will always be there no matter what. You most likely would not be impressed with the sound.

If the G32 is going to be the decided host, I would choose a 9mm conversion barrel and shoot 147gr or heavier subsonic loads.

I agree. Get a 9mm Conversion barrel that's already threaded. However, supersonic crack not withstanding, suppressing supersonic rounds does make a big difference. .223 and .308 suppressed is a BIG difference suppressed vs. unsuppressed. I don't know personally how much quieter a .357 Sig would be but for "maximum" effect, boricua9mm has a good plan of action!

I'm feeling like my sig will be a better host then all around, any can suggestions for the budget minded?

Between my SIG and my Glock, I really prefer the Glock for suppressed shooting. The SIG just blows way too much gas and carbon back at my face when shooting. The Glock has some blowback as well, but nowhere near as bad.

It's going to be difficult to find a threaded barrel for that P6... I've only seen one P6 that was threaded to accept a suppressor, and I think that was a custom barrel. Typically Sigs will suppress a little bit better, but between a choice of a P6 and a Glock, I'd recommend you suppress the Glock. You can pick up a Lone Wolf barrel for probably less than half of what you'd have to pay for a Sig barrel, even if you could find a production run.

For comparison, I'm waiting on a suppressor for my Sig 228 right now and have been trying to find a threaded barrel for it. I've been looking for at least 2 months and am having a very hard time finding anything other than a Jarvis or Bar-Sto that would cost almost as much as I paid for the gun (bought it used) and still be backordered. And this is on a gun that a number of people suppress.

For budget 9mm suppressors, you may want to take a look at Thompson Machine. I'm waiting on a Poseidon which is a micro suppressor that is wet and wiped. Basically its a 4" can that meters about the same as a full sized can for the first few mags or so before you have to replace the wipes. TM also has the Isis which is a full sized can that doesn't need to be wet/wiped. And AAC has the Eco-9 which is a very good value. Basically it uses the last generation Evo-9 baffles, and even has an extra so its a bit quieter. The only issue is that it's been discontinued, so it will be more difficult to find. The Eco and the Isis both require a booster, but the Poseidon is light enough that it doesn't require one. All of these run around $350 or so.

You would be better getting a regular 9mm and supressing it rather than trying to suppress a .357SIG. The .357SIG is basically a 9mm that travels a lot faster and that has a smaller magazine capacity. Sure, you can shoot the .357SIG, but you would still get the supersonic crack. If you back down your load to get subsonic velocity, then you are getting the power of a 9mm anyways, but you are also losing magazine capacity.

Sorry boricua9mm, I forgot to mention the most difficult part of the threaded barrel search, I need it in 1/2x28. The Thompson Machine Poseidon that I'm getting doesn't use a neilson device, so I can't just buy a second booster to use the same suppressor with two different thread types. I may have to see if I can just buy a second rear end cap from TM so that I can have one in both thread patterns, but the ATF might classify that as a taxable part...

I agree with you on the EFK barrels though. I've heard some horrible stories about them.

Send the factory barel and slide to adco for threading. They'll put an extension on the barrel and thread it to whatever pitch you want for $155.
