I'm looking for my next suppressor. I already have a TacSol Axiom for my 22LR guns. My other calibers are 9mm and 45 that I would like to suppress. I think my main "must have" is that the suppressor be able to be taken apart and "dipped" for cleaning. My 9mm and 45s are lead reloads. I would also like to use the suppressor on a rifle also, like a 9mm AR.

Is there anything that fits my budget and my must-have?

Ti-Rant contains some aluminum, according to SilencerShop's specifications section. I've never used "the dip," but as I understand it, it eats both lead and aluminum.

So you're really looking for a stainless pistol-caliber can that you can take apart to clean, it seems.

If you're willing to use some other cleaning method, you've got a lot more options. I have a .45 can from Thompson Machine (the QMF) that's nice. Their ISIS line is good too. (I have one in 9mm.) Either way, they come apart to clean and are pretty lightweight.

I already use the dip in my Axiom and it's good as new in no time. I'd like to have the next suppressor the same way, especially since I shoot lead reloads.

My experience with the ISIS-2 is you will have trouble getting it apart to clean shooting hard cast lead bullets after much more than ~150 rounds. Too short an interval for me so I shoot only jacketed or plated through mine and treat it like a non- take apart, As even after only 300 rounds it was ridiculously hard to get apart and so little fouling was in there it was hardly worth opening.

If budget is a consideration, the homemade freeze plug suppressors are cheap and almost comparable to pistol caliber factory suppressors in noise reduction, although they are larger and heavier. You can also eform a Form 1 and have the paperwork back in about a month.

The Tirant 45 is on sale for $600 and barely fits my budget. I just don't know if I can use the dip on the baffles and if i can swap calibers and used a fixed barrel.
