Finally found a couple boxes of winchester white box 115 grain ammo to shoot in my Christmas present. I found the mags easy to load, used the mag loader at first, but got used to doing without a while later. Gun has a nice smooth trigger for a plastic gun, much better than my buddys Glock 22. First few shots were gratifyingly to point of aim, and went into a ragged cluster at 7 yards. The feel is of a very quick cycling and recovery, recoil of course mild. My lovely bride, who shoots my 686 and my Colt 1911 quite well, well, hated it. She said her fingers were too short to properly hold the gun, and her first couple of shots were all over. She then turned up her nose at my new pride and joy and proceeded to shoot dot sized groups with my Ruger Mk II. Well I like it...

The Springfield XD-SC 9x19 is the only semi-auto pistol my wife can shoot well, except for my Ruger Mk. II. The XD-SC is her everyday carry gun. She has slender hands, with long fingers, so it fits her perfectly.

Hope this helps.

It's funny what seems to fit one person is unsuitable for others. Oh, well, no question that it's my gun!

good choice. i carry, shoot, and train with a service model in .40. i had a sc in .40 it is very reliable, accurate, and actually alot more managable that i thought for such a little gun. congrats.
