XD subcompact in 9mm

After shooting a number of different pistols, my wife has decided that she wants an XD subcompact in 9mm. The problem? Nobody seems to have them!

I'm in Memphis, which has a fair number of gun stores, but nobody seems to be able to get one. One person I talked to at Sportsman's Warehouse told me they haven't had one in over 3 months. Is this particular model so hard to find in other areas too?

Did she shoot the Kahr PM-9? It is thinner, shorter, and lighter. A few more $$$, but a good compact 9

I just sold mine. It was a good gun that I bought because it was a screamin' deal and sold because I could not pass up the offer. Can you blame a guy for making $125 profit?

I do like my Kahr better because it is slimmer, other than that the XD is a fine gun.

She has held the Kahr CW9, but didn't shoot either it or the PM9. She and I both really liked the feel of the CW9, but she doesn't really want to buy something she hasn't shot and the range I shoot at regularly (RangeUSA in Memphis), doesn't have any Kahrs for rent.

Alright--I finally found one with a SS slide. Price is $529. This seems high. Am I wrong?

That sounds like a fair price for the SS one Seminole, be sure to get her a set of Truglo TFO sights for it too. They are amazing night sights. (TFO stands for Tritium Fiber Optic.)

Have you tried Guns & Ammo on Summer Ave? They seem to have just about every XD model available every time I go in there. I had RangeMaster order me the blued model a few years back. Got it for $400.

if she likes and wants that get her that and asap, haven't ever had a problem finding them or any other model of xd that is wierd, but it is good to hear that she has one that she wants, i hope she enjoys it; they are great gus, i prefer my sc over my servcie model.
