Greetings again.

I have a carbine that fires the neat but hard to find 9mm Bergman-Bayard, aka 9mm Largo. I have found a source of brass, (Starline) but dies are hard to find. RCBS makes them and Midway sells them, but they are a custom propisition, with custom prices to match.

I have read that the 9x23 Winchester is externaly the same as the 9mm Largo, so it would follow that I could use dies for that caliber. Am I correct in that assumption?

As an alternative, could I use .38 Super Dies?

I am down to less than 200 rounds of factory fodder for this fun little gun, and I would like to keep the beast fed.

Thanks for the help.

ps:
Anyone out there with experience loading for this cartridge?

I have reamed out a Star Super B and a Tokarev 9mm converstion barrel to 9x23mm.

This has been very satisfying for me.
I use 9x19mm dies, and they work just fine with Starline 9mm Super comp brass or with Win9x23mmWin brass.

Here are my notes on the chamber dimensions:
base: Largo .375", 38 super: .384", 9x23: .390"
case: Largo: .91", 38 Super: .9", 9x23mm: .9"
neck: Largo: .375", 38 Super: .384", 9x23mm: .380"
OAL: Largo: 1.32", 38 Super: 1.28", 9x23mm: 1.245"
