The Colorado contingent of the High Road met at Larry and Sandy Ashcraft's farm today. One of our more solemn activities was a 21-gun salute to High Roaders Labgrade and Kentucky Rifle.

Labgrade and Kentucky Rifle may not have been with us, but were with us in spirit.

A fitting way to mark 9-11.

Notice in the far right of the second picture, that's Crystal. She was very touched by the whole thing.

Thanks guys. That needed to be done. Now all of us need to reach out to someone who might benefit from a "Hi, how ya doing?" I, for one, have been remiss in this. R.I.P. Brothers.

Just one question - aiming upward like that, were you all trying to shoot Labgrade's and KR's wings off? :D

Standing - Larry thank you guys ... VERY much ... I so wished I could have shared this with you .. but somehow that makes it seem a little less distant.

A great tribute to lost friends.

    You betcha. 1947 headstamp too.

    We had 4 M1's, 2 1903's, and a 1903A3. Two of the M1's were Zak's, I had one M1 and a 1903, and Smoke Rizen owned one M1, a 1903, and a 1903A3.

Had to explain the operation of an M1 to a couple of the team.

Incredible. The way we meet people may have changed with the internet, but the friendships we develop apparently have not.

    That's awesome guys... truly.

I am sure they are smiling and feeling proud.

Now don't give them big heads or they will be insufferable when we all hook up together for the big Gathering.

    ;)
