"A 32 gun in his pocket for fun..."

Too lazy to whip out the camera, but I have a few P32's and a couple of snubs in .327 Fed Mag. That's not counting the numerous top breaks in mothballs. I really like the .32 cartridge, be it 32 ACP, 327 fed mag, 32H&R mag or 32S&W L. I wish a company out there would make a high pressure true-rimless 32 ACP cartridge & pistol. Maybe even a rimless 32 ACP Long. A full size pistol holding 30 rounds that would throw out the energy of the .380 with virtually no recoil would be very interesting.

There are some really great looking guns here!
Mine isn't quite as good looking, but it's surprisingly accurate. I can consistently hit playing cards at 30 feet, points naturally for instinct /not using sights shooting. I also really like the weight of it, considering its very tiny size; recoil is so easy one-handed. I'm approaching 1000 rounds without a single failure of any type, and the slide and frame are in great shape. DA and SA pulls are smooth and crisp, I wouldn't change the trigger-pull weights either, they're both perfect.
I've heard good and bad from others about these, mine was given to me by its only previous owner, who is a great guy, and it hasn't ever let me down, actually this gun amazes me every time I shoot it.

Anyone know of ammo sources for 32.20 other than watered down cowboy loads?

We have a 32.20 M 1892 that was made right at the time of transition of black to smokeless. Surprisingly, the bore looks to be in good condition.

Looking for correct 32.20 Rifle smokeless has resulted in only two dusty boxes of unknown age and storage conditions.

The cowboy loads are quieter than .17 pellets in a single spring air rifle.

Trajectory in the 32.20 cowboy loads are sorta like a basketball 'tho. I do imagine they'd pop a baloon.

Thanks,

salty

I haven't seen any jacketed 32-20 for sale since I bought my Colt. Chances are you will NOT see it loaded at rifle velocity to make sure it isn't fired in a handgun.

However if you reload you can find jacketed and gas checked bullets to replicate the 'rifle only' version of the round. As to the wisdom of hot rodding a rifle made in the transitional period? I would stick to cowboy loads.

Y'all have some classic beauties here. Very nice!

Here's a bad cell phone photo of my only .32 ACP pistols. The one on the left is a fun shooter and the one on the right is merely a bullet thrower. :D

If I hear another "razor in his shoe" comment I'm gonna scream.

I have never seen that Taurus before.. looks like a ray-run from a 60's sci-fi playset.

It's a recently discontinued model. Taurus currently only makes that gun in .380 ACP. There are still some new .32 ACP versions out there, but they are drying up. My TCP 732 can do sub 4" groups at 15 yards which is pretty good for a polymer pocket gun with nub sights. :D

Interesting to see that little Taurus says "Made In USA." I learned something...didn't know Taurus had any USA made guns.

Of course I know little. :scrutiny:

My safe queen:

It sits collecting dust because:

1) It beats the crap put of my shooting hand.
2) Can't hit the broad side of a barn with it.
3) Kicks the magazine out on a regular basis.
4) FTF at least once per 3-4 magazine loads.
5) Ammo is expensive and hard to find.
6) Slide does not lock open on last shot and it should not be dry fired since it may break the firing pin (according to owners manual). This requires the first cartridge in the magazine to be a snap cap reducing the capacity.

Worst gun I ever bought.

^^^Looks like a Seecamp, but doesn't have the good rep of the Seecamp. Based on your experience with the Guardian, I think the difference in cost makes the Seecamp a good deal.

Regarding Bergmen's Safe Queen

1) It beats the crap put of my shooting hand.

Yes they do kick. Try one of the original mags with the finger piece that allows a two finger grip. One of those comes with each gun and one comes as you pictured in your gun.

2) Can't hit the broad side of a barn with it.

Mine shoots good for such a small gun. I can keep them inside a paper plate easily at seven yards. That satisfies my old eyes for such a small pistol with basically no sights.

3) Kicks the magazine out on a regular basis.

I've yet to have that happen but I've read of such. NAA has a lifetime warranty...send it to them.

4) FTF at least once per 3-4 magazine loads.

That would be annoying. Fail to Feed or Fail to Fire? Send it back to NAA maybe.

5) Ammo is expensive and hard to find.

Expensive yes.

6) Slide does not lock open on last shot and it should not be dry fired since it may break the firing pin (according to owners manual). This requires the first cartridge in the magazine to be a snap cap reducing the capacity.

You're right. These guns have no slide lock. Maybe the snap cap is a good idea for PRACTICE shooting. I'll have to remember that! :)

Worst gun I ever bought.

Sorry your NAA Guardian is a lousy one. I'm impressed with mine thus far. Made in August 2009 and no issues YET. Yours has a much lower serial number...thay might be a sign of bad thing to come for mine in time. Shoot and carry mine often. Runs great on Privi Partizan, Speer Lawman, Remington UMC, and Winchester Silver Tip ammo.

I hope it keeps working well for me.

No Negative Issues (yet) :scrutiny:

Bergmen...I hope mine doesn't go down the tubes. Re-reading my post above leaves the impression I've had mine since new. WRONG.

Any gun that messes up is a pain in the rear.

Not had it very long but have shot it pretty much trying to determine reliability....in back pocket at this moment.
