....to all that gave me some pointers, tips and tricks on setting up my new Hornady AP. I have to say, that the Hornady AP is very addictive. LOL. I'm going to have to buy more pistol components just to keep up.

So far, I am loving the Hornady AP. The powder measure is extremely accurate from drop to drop, from the first round, to the last. I have been really impressed with it. I've mainly used Titegroup and Autocomp so far. Plan to get my rifle dies setup and run some rifle through it to see how that goes, but I'm thinking, I'm probably going to be impressed.

This past weekend, I made up about a 1000 rounds of 9mm in a span of about 3 hours, and then got depressed because I ran out of bullets. Lol. It sure beat doing a 1000 on a single stage, that's for sure. Lol.

I do have to say for anyone that is looking at getting started, and this is just my opinion, that the 3 years I spent loading pistol and rifle on a single stage press, I believe really benefited me moving up to the Hornady Auto Progressive. For me, if I had started out on the AP, I myself, probably would have gotten flustered.

I'm loving my new press....only thing now, is to try and keep in stock on pistol and rifle components. :D

Thanks again!

Now you have to either get used to spending less time reloading or find excuses to add calibers.:D

I tried to keep the cartridge types down but I failed miserably. I load for 7 or 8 handgun cartridges and an additional 6 or 7 rifle cartridges and that's with trying very hard not to buy a gun I don't already load for!

Yeah, I load 5 different rifle and 4 rifle calibers, and up to this point all on single stage. Lol. The AP has really helped. Lol

There is a vast knowledge of users on this forum. All willing to help.

I've had mine for over 6 yrs now and would do it again. Having tennis elbow and bad back time is limited the main reason I bought mine.

Like you found out feeding these take a lot of supplies, you burn through them fast. If you add the brass feeder your production goes up another 200/hr. Ordering in bulk is the only way to go. Just wish powder would get back to normal supplies levels.

Yeah. I still have a 4lb jug of Universal and 8lb keg of Titegroup I haven't touched yet, but I got a feeling it may go quick.

That was a factor why my wife bought me the AP as well. My back and knees are completely jacked from military but she knows I love to shoot and reload, so she figured she'd help me reload quicker and less time on feet and in chair.
