A couple of budget 9mm reviews

I own a P-11 & find it works well. Hate the trigger, but I learned to shoot w / revolvers and can put up with it. The S&W, SD9VE is one of the best buys out there! For the price this is a great pistol! Buy one if you can! KEL-TEC's PF-9 is a piece of junk! I was very disappointed in mine! Still can't get it to work! KEL-TEC should give a refund to their costumers that bought the PF-9! I have not shot the others, but agree on the ones I have used. Thanks for the review! Good luck on your future reviews.

I'm not familiar with the other guns but I have the sar compact. I guess I got a good one.

I figure I just got a bad one. I have seen a number of reviews online for them and they have all been positive. Funny thing is I just visited Armslist and it is for sale by the guy I sold it to.

CDNN is selling the Walther PPX for $279. That is an incredible deal for a real Walther built in Ulm, Germany.

A friend of mine just bought one and paid around that. It is definitely in line to be reviewed. I aim to get it along with a Zastava m88a 9mm single stack that I found for affordable. Just have some things to get in line before I shoot stuff that isn't mine.

I'm surprised your PF9 shot high for you. Mine shoots low. The other main difference between yours and mine is that mine has been flawlessly reliable in function (it was also purchased used, in 2010.)

I'd like to see you try the SCCY CPX-II next...

Im working on a few others at the moment but that one is on the list.

How I am doing these is by buying one and then taking it out shooting and taking notes and then I sell it to fund the next budget gun. Since I am keeping the SD9VE I will have to wait until funds become available again to continue.

I have owned several of the guns you reviewed I have no experience with the P11 and the SD9. The SD9 has been on my want list for awhile. My PF-9 was disposed of after two trips to the range, numerous fte and ftf (feed). I owned two Sigmas and both were 100%. My Sar B6P was the fullsize and it was amazingly accurate and well made. The only reason it is gone is that it didn't have a decocker.
Another post suggested that you should review the Kahr and Taurus value offerings. I own both the CT9 and CW9. Love them both. I had a Taurus PT111 G2 that was solid also. Although out of production the Ruger P series pistols are also great values.

The price on the CT9 just went down by a few bucks. Lanbos Armory is selling them for $262.50

The SAR B6P is going for $244.00

I've got both a Sigma and a PF9 in the 'collection', the Sigma has been 100% reliable, tactical classes, 1&2 day classes, some IDPA. I didn't know the trigger was bad till I read about it on the internet, how dumb am I? I got it apart, did some polishing, spring work...it ain't a 1911 or even near as good as my wife's M&P, it IS much better than a standard Sigma, it works. My PF9 suffered some early problems, Kel Tec got it sorted out. I installed an aluminum trigger, it's much better than the stock one, 100% reliable now.

How can you review these guns and say buy or don't buy if you bought them used? Buying a used gun is a crap shoot. You have no idea what the other guy did or if he got a factory dud which does happen.

I've owned a Kel Tec P40 that worked great (modeled after the P11) and have shot the crap out of my dad's SD9VE. The SD9VE is probably best in it's class and is worth every penny. S&W got that one right and still kept it in a good price range.

The Canik/Tristar pistols are a great deal too and are very reliable.

It is unfortunate that you had issues with the SAR, I've wanted one for a while.

Only some of the pistols are used. It is really hard to find a new in box sigma 9mm. Most are going to be brand new. The next one up is a Walther PPX.
