I like a Crossman .177 M4 multi pump to choose the Power level I want to shoot at even though I live in the country in Central Calif. For shots of about 20-30 yards it seem more than sufficient.
Just remember to only shoot pellets to retain accuracy of the barrel as BB's will destroy the Lans and pellet accuracy.
As posted before, I spent almost three times the cost of the rifle by
adding a Leapers 3x12x44 Etched Glass Reticle SWAT scope with 32 intensity adjustable colors to light up both complete Mill dot crosshairs. The Left side, Side Wheel Turret is very useful, especially if you add a larger focusing Wheel, available in two diameters 'at slight additional cost'. An excellent scope for the money though !
*> I wouldn't suggest it for use on either a Springer or Nitro Piston air rifle though due to the severe dual, rear/front, jolt these rifles produce !
