This is what I consider my first quality air rifle to my collection since I started with airgunning this past summer. Before this my pellet air rifles have been the Daisy 880 (my intro airgun) and Crosman M4 (.223 on the shelf ha!). These functionally are excellent, don't get me wrong...but don't feel like a firearm. When I started this hobby like many, it was because of inflation on firearms and ammo, so I told myself I would never spend as much money as I could to buy a firearm.

I've now broken my own set rule with the IZH-60. I wanted something with a reputation for accuracy, less of a toy feel, quiet and a springer (why spring? because it rewards consistency and punishes mistakes harshly). It's still not very much money, $130 shipped, but I could have purchased a Mosin Nagant (I already own one, but who couldn't use another ) or a second hand .22lr with the same amount of money.

As I was researching this guy, almost everything was about the IZH-61...the 5 pellet clip repeater. But since I'm target shooting I enjoy working the bolt...kinda like having a manual car even though dual clutch auto gearboxes are faster. So I went with the 60 and felt I should share my experience with it in the community. Now since I broken my price rule there is no looking back, only up to the next levels.

    Long winded vid here: :p

I have one of those. Got it some years ago. You can mount a better sight than the one that comes with the gun on the dovetail at the rear of the receiver. I mounted an aperture rear....way more accurate than the stock sight.
