I asked this forum my question because there are some very astute and experienced shooters here, I have zero custom rifle experience; I will call the maker and ask them about my odds of getting a properly fit stock on a $6k rifle.

You could spend $5000 on a Trijcon ReapIR thermal scope, put it on an existing rifle, and basically have the super power of being able to see in the dark and identify animals at night from hundreds of yards away........

If I had that kind of money for a rifle, I wouldn't be burning it on a standard bolt action. I would call Q and have them send me their 'Fix' rifle and a silencer.

Either that or one of the chassis guns that the top PRS competitors are using.

I don't think any of those run $6k either. More like $2.5-3.5k depending on a variety of factors.

But I am not a custom rifle kind of guy, in the realm of fancy engraving and inlay and whatnot. If that is what you are looking for. More power to you. I like looking at guns like that. They just personally aren't for me. But I can understand why some people really like them.

Oh no, that second rifle isn’t fit properly either - the cocking piece isn’t flush with the bolt shroud when closed and cocked... he obviously doesn’t have any idea how to rework a dirt common Remington factory action...

Please....
