I got a chance to shoot my new (to me) Model 60-10. It's a 3", full lug, adjustable sight .357Mag. It has no lock, but does have MIM internals. At least it's roll-marked instead of laser engraved.
I had to cut my range trip short, so I didn't unlimber my Federal 125gr JHP Crack-of-Doom loads, but it was right pleasant with cowboy-level .38's. I replaced the long Hogue finger-groove grip with a shorter set that looked more "Square-buttish". It made me smile, looking like a pre-pubescent 686.
I've not had or handled many 3" J-frames, so this was new to me. I have a 4" M63 kit gun, but it wears the original Magna grips. Totally different feel for the M60. I think I'm gonna like it, a lot. Now I've got to get John O'Rourke to make me a holster for it. This may well be my light field revolver, if it proves to be reasonably accurate for me.
