Hello!

This is my first thread, so forgive me if i mess up anything or pull a noob mistake. So I have a situation that I'm looking for some help with. I'm currently shopping for my second handgun, my first being a 2008 S&W Sigma 9mm. I was looking at other 9mm handguns and was considering a Glock 19 or a FN FNP-9, but I was at the local gun shop and found a used HK USP compact in .40 for 600. It includes 2 mags, 2 holsters - a leather IWB and a kydex paddle. It seems in fairly good condition, so should I get it or get the cheaper Glock or FNP. Any opinions would help and thank you in advance for your help!

IF it's the 12rd mags it's a good deal, not so much if it's 10rd mags. HK hi-cap mags are expensive.

FYI, budsgunshop.com right now has full-size USP 45 police trade-ins for like $550 right now, and with 2 hi-cap mags I think.

The USPc takes 8rd mags - not the 10 or 12 (although I believe they may load, but it's not flush).

HK is a fantastic weapon and $600 is a near steal.

The USP 40C takes either the 10 or the 12 without any over extension and will fit the 2000 as well. I have never seen a 40 in 8 rd???

Philip, the USPc .45 mags are narrower than than the double stack models of the full-size USP. I kind of wish they would have considered compatibility, but that USPc grip wouldn't have been the same if it was made wider; it is a glory unto itself.
