John Linebaugh is one of the pioneers of heavily modded Ruger SAs and is still one of the best.
First thing to check out is the video - he handles the recoil of a 500 Linebaugh-converted Ruger one handed with singular grace despite the monster power on tap. Check out the still-image of the moment of ignition under the "About John" section.
Under "Writings" is a set of documents that haven't been available online for a while now. They show how he got started: experimenting with the 45LC taken to the bleeding edge. By discussing the advantages of this round over the 44Mag he's showing the theoretical underpinnings of all his later work with the 475 and 500 bores, without giving away his latest secrets. It's impossible to state how important these documents are to understanding what's really going on in any of our guns, even if you can't afford his work .
(There is a discussion on this at the sixgunner forum that revealed the caliber in the video, and that much more is coming to this site soon now that he has a new webmaster.)
