A gun under your pillow?

next to or directly under the bed at arms reach in an open case, or on top of the nightstand next to the bed.


Personally, I cant see the advantage of having it IN the bed with me. Even if i did sleep without tossing and turning and bunching up my pillows, and wasnt married, i still think i would somehow knock the gun between the mattress and the headboard or to the floor if awakened abruptly

No but...

Once I used a pistol (in a case) wrapped in a sweatshirt as a pillow whilst camping... Turns out I needed it that night as a bear decided to go through our belongings (don't worry, didn't shoot it), and so you know a pistol in a box wrapped in a shirt makes a lousy weapon... too slow...

I have a good way to attach it to the end of the bed. Technically it might be under the pillow partly. But it is still safe and easy to get to while being well hidden.
