OK, Kerry is elected, the House and Senate go to Democrat control.
It's April 2005, sweeping Gun Control is enacted.
All semi and full automatic weapons to be turned in, no exceptions.
Citizens are allowed a maximum of four firearms in their possession.
What would you choose?

me;
A bolt action rifle in .30/06 caliber

An over under 12 guage 3" chamber

A .44 magnum revolver

A .22 l.r. revolver

let's hear your choices.

LOL that might work but hypothetically let's figure everybody decides to be compliant.

Actually, Furious' reaction would probably be pretty typical. I doubt many of us would just quietly hand in most, if not all, of our guns.

Civil Disobedience actions aside...

Primary Home Defense long arm: 12Ga pump, either a Mossberg 500, 590 or a Remington 870

Intermediate General Purpose Carbine: Marlin 1894 lever action in .357 Magnum

CCW, GP handgun: 4" S&W K frame in .357 Mag.

Plinking/Practice: Ruger Single Six 22LR/22Mag convertable w/6" barrel

To Do: Start reloading and stock up on more ammo.

Out of those, the only ones I'd need to buy are the lever action and a 4" 357 revolver to replace my 6". Both are at the top of my wish list anyway.

Versitility would be the name of the game here. I'd still be able to do prety much anything I needed to do with any of my present guns. The 12 guage can shoot all kinds of ammo from light birdshot to slugs. The lever gun and revolver could shoot various 357mag loads for everything from self defense to hunting. They could also shoot cheap 38 specials for practice and plinking.

Well, if a semi autos are out, that would include double action revolvers, would it not?

If so,

Ruger 77 in 25-06 or 270.
Mossberg 590A1
CZ452 American or Varmint in 22LR
Freedom Arms 454 (mostly shooting 45 Colt)

I'd be reporting a break-in where all of my firearms were stolen. Except of course those that the leftist liberal nut-jobs considered legal.

Thanks ducktapehero I need people to play.

In Illinois these measures are being contemplated by the left wing powers in control as 'sensible' gun control.
The reality is these measures may very well become the law of the land here should the DEMs control everyting at the Federal level.

It is quite noble to speculate about how you might react to such restrictions but the reality is that words are easier to type than the action is to perform.

As a Firearm Dealer I need to know the reality of what people would be interested in buying should restrictive measures take place.
I need to know how I may have to alter inventory to continue to serve the needs of my customers

Should you choose to, or be forced to remain a resident of this state after such restrictive measures take place, know this.
We are actively soliciting safe and legal out of state storage facilities and will make them available to our customers should hypothetical become reality.
Nobody I know is going to surrender ANYTHING.

Its possible that someone might vote from a rooftop with a bolt-action hunting rifle, but I'll play. Um, er, well hell, all of mine would have to go exept for my Model 85 and my 590... I dont know wheelguns, or lever action rifles, so I dont know.

Need some company Furious? I work graveyard shift so nightwatch and sleep deprivation arent a problem.

Ok, I'll "play". If, for whatever reason, I'm down to picking a 4 gun battery, they would be:

Pump 12 Ga. with an 18" riot/slug Bbl. and a 24" multi-choke equipped hunting Bbl.

A Lee Enfield rifle.

A .357 Revolver.

A .22 rifle.

Now if the worst happens and sKerry sends the Sturm Truppen out, I'm going to be bunkered down behind my SAR 48 and I WILL NOT yield while I have breath in my body.

Do they make 9mm revolvers??

I think that Ruger still makes the SP-101 in 9mm and you can also get a conversion cylinder for the Blackhawk in 9mm.

Although I don't like the context of the game, I am in.

CZ-452 .22LR.
Ruger GP-100 4" .357.
Finnish M-39.
Marlin 1894 .357.

In reality, I'd invoke my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States .(Surely you remember that one, President Ketchup?)

But OK, I'll play for giggles:

1. Serbu .50 BMG, ATN Day/ Night 4-12x80 scope, reloading kit for it.

2. AR-338 Lapua, Leupold M4, reloading supplies.

3. My Remington 870, lots of slugs 'n buck. (It's for crawlin' around, playin' games and trying to out smart the deer, man! :D )
4. S&W 629 Mountain Gun. CCW and power for game and JBT vests.;)

Psst, earthworm, isn't the Glock 32 a semi-automatic? And the 10/22?

cratz2, only the Mateba and the Webley-Fosbery. All other DA revolvers are cocked by pressure on the trigger, not recoil of the weapon.

MOLON LABE!
