A little help making a carry decision

I work as a security "responder". If someone flakes out, we must detain and escort or in an extreme incident, do whatever it takes to protect others in the workplace. The company I work for issues Glock 23's, which I am not a big fan of. It is not the Glock that I dislike, it is the .40. The problem here lies in the fact that our carry must be discreet, usually in an ankle rig due to the type of uniform (khakis and a button down shirt). I have a Glock 26 that I carry outside of work and can carry it on my ankle, but I believe that it is a little beefy for me. I have looked at one of the new Para Ord Carry 9's and fell in love. My question is this, are the Para LDA's worth the asking price? The 1911 style is what I grew up shooting and the trigger definately would keep my boss happy. If anyone has any experience with the Para LDA's please chime in, the gun show is next weekend and it will be make it or break it time.
