Ok Im 17 and not that rich and I have a couple of guns but right now I want to deck out one of my 10/22's for some major tack driving skills. Ive been researching for weeks and ive found these products that I want to get.

My Dream Gun
An Awsome Varmitt scope = ($100)
A Clerke SS Fluted Bull barell = ($99)
A Sweet Thumbhole lamininated birchwood silhouette stock = ($110)
A Trigger Job By a Gunsmith on ebay about = ($40)
A Nice but affordable Bipod = ($40)
Total=$389
Watching Them Furry Critters drop=Priceless

Ok really if any one has any improvents that they would like to recommend to me I would like that very much also does any one know what type of varmit scope I could get for around 50-100 bucks? Right Now all I need is the money to make this all happen but i think ill buy the parts one at a time and within a couple mounths Ill have it all together.

Merry Christmas,
Luke

Budget rifle:

#1. Volquarsten Hammer...this will give you a light trigger pull and you won't need to send it to the "gunsmith" on ebay. They are very easy to install yourself.

#2. Check out Natchez Shooters Supply for the Simmons ATV scope. It's a very nice scope and you can get that shipped to your door for less than a $100

#3. The Clerke barrels are a good buy. :)

#4. Check out www.revivalindustries.com for a stock. Great stocks for not a lot of money.

#5. A Harris Bipod is always a good choice but there are now cheaper ones that look just like Harris which are in your $40 price range.

Just the experience working on your rifle is priceless since you will learn how a rifle works. If you have anymore questions stop in and ask here or this other site.... www.Rimfirecentral.com

Other barrels to check out.

Green Mountian

Whistle Pig

I haven't turned my 10/22 into a custom yet. One of those things I have on a list to do.

As mentioned above.... spend a few days searching/reading over at http:www.rinfirecentral.com about 10/22 upgrades.

And don't buy the clerke barrel...... get a Lilja/Volquartsen/Clark/Kidd (top of the line)

Next step down, Green Mountain/ Adams & Bennett (made by GM) or Butler Creek, Whistle Pig (These are the $99 range)

The Clerke hasn't been around that long and barrel quality isn't established because of that. Ability to contact the manufacturer regarding warranty is non existant.

just my 2¢

CALL GREEN MOUNTAIN AND ASK FOR A FACTORY SECOND BARREL!

i purchased a "second" barrel, it has one scratch on teh bottom by the lug. . .

its an 18 in stainless flutted barrel, shipped to my door for 40 bucks.

the thing drives tacks, contact the barrel makers BY PHONE and ask for seconds, for some reason they are unresponsive by email when asking about seconds
